Max is 11 Months Old! The last month was filled with fun time with family events so I took 1000+ pictures, not wanting to miss a moment of it! (Crazy, I know!) I went through and chose a few of my favorites, as well as put together Max’s monthly video here:

My cousin got married so my sister came in town with her family and stayed with us for a few days. It went by too fast! I loved spending that time with them and Max loved all the attention and the designated playmate for a week! My other siblings were at the wedding too so we enjoyed having everyone together and I loved spending the time with my family. As far as what Max has been up to in the last month, he has continued to grow in his mobility and speaking skills and is beginning a phase where he wants to figure everything out. We have nicknamed him “houdini” as he masters his way around obstacles, over and under anything blocking his way. His will is strong and he is a determined child, using anything as a climbing mechanism and he won’t stop until he gets where he needs to be. He’s babbling more and more and loves to make silly sounds and crack himself up. Peek-a-boo is all the rage at this point and he has finally mastered bye-bye and high fives. I’ve caught him standing on his own a few times but no walking yet. He is a cruiser and likes to race across furniture and I may or may not have lost him a time or two. He has also learned how to get off of the couch and how to turn around and go down stairs, which is nice. And my favorite thing, he has learned to dance to the music! He clapped and danced to “Livin’ On A Prayer” the other night and I know my mom would be proud! I will definitely have to get that on video next month. We also celebrated his first Halloween and he was dressed as a duck. The costume limited his mobility so he wasn’t super crazy about it, but he put up with it enough for some pictures. Here’s our last month documented in photos. One month til the big 1st Birthday!

“We take photos as a return ticket, to a moment otherwise gone.”

We gathered together on a beautiful fall morning,  perfect for a breakfast picnic in the park. With big brother and baby sister in tow, the picnic basket was filled with all the essentials: fruit, sprinkled donuts, and milk. It was Saturday and as the sun rose behind the colored trees, time slowed down for a bit. The world was quiet and it was just these four together, doing life and being present in the moment. One of those rare opportunities to put all distractions aside and unplug for a moment to focus on the people you love the most. Sure, this event was planned but what unfolded was not. The laughter, the adventures, and memories all created right before the camera. Here’s a family film of our time together:
